The Mo-DV Codec System is a proprietary version for audio / video which produces high quality content in small file sizes. Additionally the Mo-DV decoder foot print is extremely small. The decode elements were optimized for playback on low compute power devices.

The motion of Mo-DV encoded video is free of the jerkiness often associated with low data rate video signals. Particular attention has been paid to making certain that the resolution of the image is not sacrificed to achieve normal frame rates. Smooth playback is achieved through the use of proprietary techniques in the compression algorithm. The operating speed of mobile devices is relatively low. Mo-DV's solution includes a certain amount of pre-emphasis data in the compressed image so that when the signal is played back, the images look normal on a mobile device.

Mo-DV provides a high level of Digital Rights Management and anti-copy protection. From the outset it was the goal of the company to provide as much security as possible on Mo-DV memory cards so that they would be very difficult to copy. Since Mo-DV controls both the encoding and decoding signals, we insert a code into the signal itself which prevents unauthorized duplication. The unique compression of the signals and the proprietary codes make Mo-DV cards extremely difficult to copy. This attention to anti-copy protection is at the heart Mo-DV's technology.
