Mo-DV MMC/SD memory card technology turns mobile devices into full-service video players for entertainment, training, and delivery other content like ring tones and games.
The Mo-DV MMC/SD memory card plays on Windows
CE, Symbian OS, Palm OS, and Linux equipped devices including
the Treo 650 smart phone and other popular devices such as
Nokia’s
Series 60, 80, and UIQ smart phones, and most PDAs.
Mo-DV content is availble for SD, mini-SD, MMC,
rs_MMC, Memory Stick and MS Duo cards. Mo-Dv's 128
MB card can contain a 100-minute movie. The 1 GB card stores
eight
full-length
movies.
By 2006, 16 GB cards will have the capacity to
hold 100 movies. Consumers will benefit from watching an
entire full-length movie on the phone for 5 hours without
a recharge. The “postage stamp” format card is sturdier in day-to-day use than DVD and CD formats.
The card's stoarge capacity, DRM, small form factor and mobile device independence make them well suited for distribution at retail outlets, through vending kiosks, and as promotional or training content media. Card content can also be downloaded from e-tailers broadband-to-home onto Mo-DV cards using Mo-DV's Direct to Home (DTH) Broadband solution.
Mo-DV provides a high level of Digital Rights Management and anti-copy protection. Mo-DV secures content on the memory card more securely than other distribution channels, so content providers can rest assured that their product is protected when it is distributed on Mo-DV memory card technology. Mo-DV security employes a patented serial number/content link, a proprietary card lock system, and and advanced encryption standard (AES). Mo-DV's security is not reliant on DRM built into mobile devices, but is embedded with the content, on the memory card.
